>We made it home safe from Colorado. I’m still sad to have left. We had such a great time and I didn’t want it to end. We rented a cabin on Vallecito Lake, which was absolutely beautiful. The views from our cabin balcony were magnificent. Crystal blue water, giant green mountains, vast grassy meadows. It was so easy to relax and be yourself.
We did many fun activities while we were there.

We visited the Mesa Verde Indian Ruins. Absolutely breath taking.

Took a gondola to the top of a 12,000 ft mountain in Telluride, CO

Visited with our good friend Kim! She lives in Colorado and it was so great to see her. We had dinner and played games. This is in front of our fireplace in the cabin.

We saw many wild animals of all different kinds. These are some odd looking goats on the side of the road.

Took a scary road trip to Silverton, Ouray, and Telluride, CO. I say scary because the roads were so curvy and their were massive drop offs at every turn!

Read books, played lots of games, and watched Disney movies! So relaxing

Went on a breakfast horseback ride in the mountains. You ride up, eat a delicious breakfast of eggs, bacon, and pancakes in the meadow, and then ride back down the mountain.

This old man was so cozy with is funny stories

We went hiking and enjoyed some beautiful views

frolicked through the tall grass

We also went shopping in downtown Durango, which is the cutest place ever! Went to see Harry Potter 6, saw a musical show, and just enjoyed the area.
Overall, it was one of the best family vacations ever! I look forward to many many more to come :)
