>Disclaimer: From here on out my blog is probably going to be very much dedicated to the munchkin we are calling baby Brewer . People blog about what’s going on in their lives right? And what is going on in my life right now? a whole lot of all things baby! Just thought I would put that out there for those who may not want to read about all things involved around pregnancy. This is a very exciting time for Chris and I with this being our first child and I want to remember and embrace this amazing experience. So blog readers be ware! haha

Today I am 16 1/2 weeks pregnant. At 16 weeks, this is what I look like:

I’ve gained about 4 pounds so far.

I feel like I haven’t really done a good job at documenting my pregnancy for myself to look back on and remember. So to back track, this is what has gone on in my pregnancy so far:

* We found out we were going to have a baby at exactly 4 weeks along.

* At 7 weeks we heard the heartbeat and it became real that we are having a baby.

* Morning sickness kicked in at around 8 weeks and stopped around 11 weeks. I just woke up one day and realized that I wasn’t getting sick anymore.
When I was sick, it wasn’t bad. Just the occasional upset stomach usually in the evening when the days food was trying to digest. Some days it was in the morning as well. I did have a few times spent with the porcelain gods, but luckily it was just a handful of times.

* We got to see baby by ultrasound at 9 weeks.

* I started showing a tiny bump at 12 weeks.

* I felt tiny flutters around 15 weeks and still can’t believe it!

* At 16 1/2 weeks, I feel normal. No more morning sickness, I get crazy bursts of energy, and as long as I go to bed between 8:30 and 9pm, I usually get a really good night sleep and am well rested for the next day.

-Anything with tomato sauce like pizza and pasta

- Taco Bell tacos

Those are the only 2 I can think of. At this point, any and all food looks good all the time!

So far I have been very fortunate to have an easy peasy pregnancy and I am so thankful for that. I haven’t had every single pregnancy symptom that’s out there. I do get the typical back aches and head aches, but I think I can handle those ;)

I’m taking things one day at a time, trying not to rush things, and I get really excited when another week has passed by successfully.

Health: For the first half of my pregnancy, I ate okay. I let myself have what I wanted when I wanted it, but also incorporated healthy fruits and vegetables at the same time. Now, I’m starting to think about the weight gain for after pregnancy, as I’m seeing the numbers slowly go up in the scale.

At this point
in my pregnancy, I feel its time to really think about what I’m eating and make sure I’m making the best choices possible for both me and the baby. So here’s to trying to eat a little more healthy!!

Confession Time: I’ve had small amounts of coffee here and there..I’m talking like a half a cup maybe once every 2 weeks or something, I’ve had maybe 6 caffeinated sodas so far in my entire pregnancy, I had 1 turkey sandwich (lunch meat is a no no), I’ve dyed my hair once using a natural hair dye (which doesn’t work by the way!). Does this make me a bad mom? ha. I don’t know, I’m pretty sure it just makes me normal!

So that is my pregnancy all up to date!
