>I am SO completely excited for the “Show us your Life”  topic this week over at  Kelly’s Korner beause it’s all about baby and kids rooms!

Putting together Emma’s room was one of the most fullfilling, proud, and enjoyable projects of my life to date.

I spent a lot of time dreaming up my baby girls room. I had so many ideas. In then end, I decided that all I wanted was color…lots and lots of color!

A lot of the items in Emma’s room were handmade. Some things were items that I found around the house and turned into new things and others were crafts that I put together from items provided by my multiple trips to JoAnns and Hobby Lobby. I’m telling ya, I was in complete crafter’s heaven.

And now you probably want to see the pictures huh? :) These are the pictures I  took before Emma was born.

This rug was the very first thing I bought for Emma’s room. I love the colors! Everything else was based off it.

Lovely little birds. We chose a  very calm an serene shade of blue/green for the wall color

I re-purposed this memo board by tearing off the old fabric and attatching this new fabric. Each color is actually a seperate peice of fabric that I hot glued together and then I added little touches of pretty here and there.

Fabric circles!

We love elephants in our house

Gotta have the “name” letters

We love giraffs too- I had so much fun making these little animal prints

A little wall accent. I just bought the plain oval shape from JoAnns, painted it, decopaged the paper on to it and then attached a ribbon to the back. Easy peasy

I made this banner by cutting triangles out of fabric and hot gluing to ribbon

A little shelf that I painted a fun shade of yellow/orange. It has all kinds of fun things hanging from the hooks now

Some of the little pieces all tied in together.

Emma’s crib. We went with soft neuterals for her crib bedding

The other side of the room

We’ve added some more cute little touches throughout the rooms since I’ve taken this picture. Books, pillows, a few knick knacks…

I still enjoy walking into this precious little space everyday. I always smile and sometimes giggle *ha*
It’s the one room in the house that stays clean at all times..well unless of course Emma is playing in it, but I like to keep it clean and pretty.

This was a super fun tour for me. I haven’t been able to be super crafty lately due to all of lifes demands, but I  hope to get back to it soon.

I have a couple little projects I’ve been thinking up lately around my home.
