Emma turned 6 months old last week! I am still in denial. She is getting so big. I just can’t believe that my little girl is half a year old. She is really fun.
Emma is up to quite a bit these days.
~ High pitched squeals, loud laughter, singing, and baby talk all make up Emma’s very fun and funny to listen to, vocabulary. Oh, I also forgot to mention the whining, complaining, and fussing ha. But we love to listen to her “talk”
~ We have just started introducing Emma to solid foods other than cereal. Right now she is eating baby oatmeal, sweet potatoes, and pears and she loves all of them. She is now a natural when eating from a spoon. This girl just loves to eat.
~ She can sit up a tiny bit by herself, but not quite yet. We are still working on it here and there, but just like anything with babies, I know she’ll do it when she is ready.
~ I can’t leave Emma in a room for more than a minute or two because she is literally rolling everywhere. I will put her down in one spot, turn my back for a second, and when I turn around, she is across the room. No joke. She’s a mover. Lord help us when she starts crawling!
~ Emma is doing very well at the in-home daycare that she goes to a couple times a week. She adjusts really well to different places and situations. She really likes people..Although, mommy doesn’t always adjust so well and is still sometimes a wreck when she has to drop her off.
~ Everything goes into the mouth these days…everything.
~ Emma really likes her sleep. She goes to bed around 8:30pm and wakes up close to 7am most days. She will also take 2 naps during the day and even sometimes 3 depending on what the day is like.
~ Emma has a very sweet disposition. We hope and pray that it stays with her as she gets older. She is so happy in the morning when she first wakes up. The moment she sees you she will smile and giggle in delight. She loves anyone who will give her their attention. She is a very good baby and Chris and I don’t take for granted how lucky we are. We thank God daily for our little blessing.
Happy 6 months Emma Grace!
